GEWWC 2011: "Lifestyles of Wellness"
Gaia’s Essence 3rd Annual Women’s Wellness Conference focus on women sharing their experiences as a means to promote lifestyles of wellness. This collaborative effort will show us all how to take a more holistic approach to our health, family and life. Our health is the result of our lifestyles. We are learning that by making small changes in our daily activities, we can drastically improve the future of our collective wellbeing. At the GEWWC, we understand that healthy is not the achievement of action items, it is obtaining a new state of mind. Because everyone is unique, there will be infinite paths to achieving personal wellness. The GEWWC vision is to provide simple and exciting ways to find your own journey to wellness.
Post Conference Comment:
"After your last conference, it took me some time to digest all of my horrible eating habits. I knew that I wanted to drop some weight, but I wanted to do it this time in a rational way while thinking long term way. I did not want it to be a diet and I didn't want to just loose weight in an unhealthy way. I tried dozens of weight loss programs but none of these truly worked. It was more than about losing weight then being healthy. Today, although it took me some time, I have weaned myself off sugar, wheat, flour but more importantly, I have started buying organically and started really thinking more about what I am putting into my body. I choose tea, selzer, and water instead of coffee, soda, and more coffee. It's little bitty steps towards a healthier me but it all started with me being willing to change and actually listening to the conference speakers including you Farrah and your amazing speaker Andrea Beaman. Thank you so much for changing my life."

Her inspirational story follows an eye-opening journey from sickness to wellness. Successfully healing her incurable thyroid disease with health-promoting foods, exercise and other natural therapies was the catalyst that transformed Andrea Beaman’s life. Andrea was a featured contestant on Bravo’s Top Chef and was a guest on Barbara Walters’ The View and CBS news. She is a food expert with the wisdom to help you clean out your body and get healthy. "When Andrea Beaman talked about her past experiences and what she does today I was truly blown away. She was at peace with herself and happy with her way of life. I wanted that too and now I am working towards it." |
